When there's snow on the ground, hunting is MUCH easier but getting over the terrain is so much more difficult for me. I really to prefer to hunt the dry ground, my dogs handle it very well and I can get around much easier. I have leaned that you just have to take your time when negotiating this high, rugged terrain.
There are lots of old logging roads in much of the reservation which helps cutting distance to the dogs.
