That is a bunch. How many are qualified now? I am too lazy to count them all.

Oh my goodness, I never would have been able to count that high. It looks like the TOC and increasing the number of wins needed for a title sure got a bunch of people to the hunts.

And everyone thought it was gloom and doom for this hunt to happen..Gonna be a major money maker for the kennel club and one of those big time sponsors come on board they may give 100,000 to first in years to come..You and I can watch one of them video things from those production companies and share it via facebooky thing and have one of them watch partys..Life is grand!

Actually it is a crock of crap as they have schedule this hunt the same dates as the *KC Nationals smh time and money spent for us owners to qualify our dogs for these hunts and these two childish kennel clubs continue to try to compete against each other as opposed to working together for hunters......Bad enough we lose hundreds of hunters each year, we don’t need ukc and *kc having a pissing match.....so here I am going to have to choose and forget all the money n time spent to qualify smh 🤦‍♂️ I hate this.

I never understand why people are surprised that two competing companies... compete against each other. They are both businesses, trying to make money. I'm sure they are all friendly but the bottom line is that they each make more money if hunters tell them yes and the other no. Any business wants more of the market share.

They'd both make a lot more money if it wasn't scheduled at the same time...

No different than local clubs having a $KC hunt th same time as a UKC hunt 20 miles from one another? Blame the #kc's on that?....

That's lack of communication between local clubs, not between the Registries.

Hunt

This hunt is great but we are trying to figure out where 200,000 is coming from because 500 to 600 dogs at 100.00 dollars entry plus 5.00 per at 10,000 dogs enteredyearly don't sniff 200,000

May look and see how many hunts there truly are.. in a year easily hunt 10,000 dogs. Just one weekend I think i counted close to 100 hunts between Friday and Saturday, that wasn’t counting double headers. They are getting way more than 200k out of the $5 increase

Your math is way off at even 10000 dogs that would only be 50000 dollars, it would take 40000 dogs at the 5.00 per dog increase to equal 200k. I do not know the number of dogs in all HUNTS in a given year, but 40k is a lot of dogs. Now you have to realize that it took each dog a minimum of 5 HUNTS to get the required 5 wins needed and that would only equate to 8000 dogs needed to reach the 40k number. That number seems reasonable given the total number of HUNTS in all states combined. I would say UKC has got a pretty good idea of what numbers were needed and the amount increase necessary to achieve their goal. Dave

Does it matter where the money is coming from or how much UKC is getting? The winners are going to get $200,000. Kinda gives you something to hunt for. Apparently the competition hunters said that was what they wanted, or at least the most vociferous ones.

Just count hunts in Nov. 320 hunts not counting double headers if you hunt 3 cast per hunt which is pretty realistic especially not counting double headers. That 3840 dogs hunted in just Nov. And then you think about the big hunts Grand, Winter Classi, Oaks and all breed hunts that's lot dog hunted in year time. Does anyone know how many dogs was hunted at Classic or Oaks this year.

Obviously 10,000 dogs don’t equal 200,000$ was just stating that they easily hunt 10,000 dogs in a year. They hunt well over 40,000 dogs in a year to get their 200,000 back.
