Line bred question

Took male dog made aunt nephew cross on his mom's half sister with real good results. Have litter now out same male and his dads half sister. Pups are still young. But being I bred nephew half aunt on top and bottom. I'm thinking about making half brother half sister cross next then out cross. Line of dogs I have isn't any more left bred back to if I lose it due to killed on highway, died old age ect. So really want lock in what I have. But do you think my next cross will be to tight if I decide to make it.

It all depends on how your offspring turn out. It is "too tight" when bad traits start turning up. You don't know until you try it.

I personally believe line breeding gets a bad rep when people line breed just to line breed. I had a person send me the pedigrees of their next 3 crosses. Each cross was bred to the results of the last cross. I asked what if one cross doesn't work? That person never e-mailed me again.

It doesn't matter if you outcross, line bred, or inbred you should always remember the most important 3 things are selection, selection, and selection.
