My 17 month old male out of Junior got his first pass Friday night in the HTX night hunt program. He is coming along great, huge strike, nice locator, and deep chop at the tree, a real easy dog to call. I'm expecting great things from him in the night hunts coming up this summer and fall.

it is very hot!!!!we have hunted last 2 nites and dump sweat outa my boots after we get done BUT were treeing coon with young dogs and tomorrow im starting to morning hunt which I have nvr done but some like it around here!!we treed 2 times last night and seen coon in 1 tree night before treed 2 times and seen coon both times ,you can only hunt an hour or so and the dogs are hot!!!I have caught and released 48 coon so far this year so our huntin might be desent at the house this season

I never hunted before dark until I went up to Eds and we turned loose an hour and a half early and treed two. Haven't treed any little ones yet. doing one or two drops is its so far before they get heated up. I'm going to start hunt later at night now. Might try that morning hunting let me know how you do. Have you treed any liters yet?

we are loaded with kittens that is a majority of the trees,ole lonesome doesn't tree them the same,makes it harder to tree him.we made 2 trees the night before and they were lit up with yes,and again last night 6 eyes checking us out ole 6 again did wonderful things and I think were gonna see it start happening soon,at least I hope so,will let you know bout the a.m hunts

haven't got to yet it cooled off here and have hunted 12 nites straight goin for 30 then see what lonesome looks like he is doin a little struggle right now but still treeing coon but when you stay out till 1 or 2 then work all day it tears an old man down!! how bout you guys? oh I seen a coon cross the road at 2 pm yesterday wat the heck?

I put one up the other night with hope and Jr. Jr got tree on her but not by much. This cool spell we are having feels good. Are you going to the A.O.'S this year?

Dave just got hope's papers back and it shows that six again has 8nc and 2gn out of 54 pups. when I finish hope out that will be another. How are you doing?. Hey the pups out of jr that are up your way how are they doing?.

sure gonna try but lonesome aint looking the best right now,really tough on all dogs him and a real nice walker last night treed together I seen notta run him off and he went 150 yards treed split from walker both had coons then dumped again new spot walker notta noise lonesome treed got round to him he had quit and was m,aking big circles coyote im guessing but I liked yelling at him and he just froze at 200 yards went leashed and went home,seems to be a little rough here,how bout you guys and your hunting? autumn oaks? oh and penny is due aug 30th so a little hesitant on leavin her also

That's sounds good young dogs go through what I call learning curves. sounds like he's back on track.

Hunted hope last night she went in 350 yards open up went another 300 to 400 yards to a bean field before I caught her. to close to the road.

sometimes its good to hang them up for awile and sometimnes not. Im sure he will come back around that the nice thing about hunting young dogs its a challenge to get them right.
