I have always had House bred hounds, but i remember a time when House breeders wouldn't claim Lipper? lol
I see some good Sailor blood running in that stuff also?

Tar, Ole Blaster is ate up with Sailor blood, the reason I chose him to go over my Lipper bred hounds. Along with his houndness and that beautiful head he puts on one.

Tuts Tillie -was out of Bawlies Rock and a daughter of Carolina Casey( 68-69 WORLD CHAMP), Bawlies Rock was out of Merchant's Bawlie x Incredible Rock Daughter(Incredible Rock was also W.CH.)

I joke about a lot of stuff but back in their pedigrees rattler and lipper had a lot of strong family ties things they both reproduced :

1. Huge over powering mouths

2.get up on a coon and make them climb or die

3. Good looking hound looking dogs

4. Loud over powering tree dogs

Yes they complimented each other when crossed on each other's offspring and yes that old sailor blood played a big part in it. No surprise to me but maybe some people can't read history it's documented and its fixing to happen again gonna be a lot of those babblers for sale before long lol. I am gonna put some bone on top of this old rattler X lipper combo of mine watch out !!!

Tar, I talked to Mr.Jim Meeks last week for some history on Blaster and man did i get some history? He is a wealth of Walker knowledge. He Told me Yadkin River Champ could catch coons in those swamps pretty regular, said he has caught as many as three in one night, but to catch one in a hunt was nothing, said he would be running wide open(gave allot of mouth on track) and just shut up, said you would never hear the coon he just put the death shake on one.lol
He took me back to Johnsons banjo, banjo 2, Sailor dogs, Deep River Mike and so on, some good and some bad.lol
He doesn't sugar coat nothing and i like that

What I learned is that somthing good is worth hanging on to I give some of these guys a hard time like jay but believe me he has my respect sure it don't always work like mr Meeks he just hung with it you take rattler and lipper if they were never born look at the dogs we would not have ever seen dogs that reproduced and set hunt records that will be hard to match.

I've been hunting with a pup from jays lipper bitch and cold sweat , he's the real deal. One of the two or three most accurate dogs I've ever seen. Huge mouth, sounds just like the recording of lipper. Makes coons climb or catches them, most dens he trees have coins on the outside. I wish I'd paid more attention to House bred dogs back when I was hunting a lot. I really liked the Screaming Eagle dog Buddy Gilbert had, his momma was directly off Houses Tom Tom.
