Hunting Hours

what's everyone's experience cutting the hounds loose in the early morning hours say 3 or 4 am? Does the time of the year make a difference?

How many nights in the summer you cut loose at dark and have a hard time getting one treed then start heading home around 3 and see them all over the road haha? Love hunting 4 am in the summer!

I have saw coons on the ground during Turkey season after daylight but never hunted early in the morning. Just wondering about it.

I have also wondered how many coons that you could tree by cutting loose at 3-4 in the afternoon.

Two weeks ago I went to set to live traps at 11:00 AM. When I got to the second one I saw it was broken. I set one and went back home to repair the other one. When I got back at 12:30 there was a coon in the first one.

Hunting hours

I have always hunted in the morning in the summer. I’ll turn loose at 4 or 4:30 and hunt till around 8:00 I’ve had some real good hunts in the morning and it’s not near as hot.
