I have been using the Kamik boot/chap combo from ValleyCreek. Best combo I have yet to try.

I have the garnett chaps and absolutely love them. But I got them on the dans boots and the sole feel off both boots. I've tried Muck boots several times and the sole always start pulling off them. Just looking for something that will hold up. I'm about to go and put gorilla glue on these dans boot so I can continue to hunt with them until I find something else. But I will definitely want them on garnett chaps.

Boot

The lightest, cheapest, insulated boot, is Tingley, you want the ones, that have a big T-with a circle, around it. Do not buy the ones that have 4 or 5 slash marks, on the sides. These are around, $50.00, i have been wearing this pair, since October, of last year, i've got a new pair, sitting here. It's called Ultra Lightweight.

Stay away from Mucks. They wear out a good pair of socks a night. Their soles also fall off and Muck does not help with the issues. Once you spend your $$$ you are on your own.

I probably will never buy a pair of Muck boots again, they are terrible. They don't hold up at all, have several pairs and had problems with all of them mainly the sole coming completely off or the front of the sole coming lose.

When they wear them out how do they usually fail? How long do they usually get out of a pair?

Boots

I found them on the internet, for around 50.00. I think it's Galeton Boots 800-221-0570.

Cheyenne's eventually may get a little split on top front ankle. He keeps 2 pair all the time and buys a new pair once a year. Idk why lol. They have all been wearing them for years. They are not insulated. You will need to put better insoles than what come with them. Cheyenne and Tyler wear Bama socks with theirs Dalton does not. They are what I have too and I like them because they are light weight, I can't stand a heavy boot! Bekina seems to be the only thing we've found that holds up to the night in night out abuse they put them through.

Boots

The Tingley with the big T with a circle around it have injected molded, air pockets for insulation, they have a plastic incert, in the sole, the old boots with the 3 or 4 lines on the side, had softer, rubber and shorter cleats, you would bust your butt, in wet grass or mud, or run a thorn, up in to your foot. The newer boot, with the plastic incert, i don't know if a thorn will pentrate or not, but the rubber is tougher, cleats are deeper, so you don't fall as much i'll say, i've worn a pair for over a year, and still have some cleats on the bottom, but it is worn off the heel.

I have had real good luck with the quatro boots. They are heavy, but have lasted me twice as long as any other boot I have had. I wear the uninsulated ones.

I've used the Lacrosse Agility boot for the past couple years and I haven't had a issue with them and they wear like a tennis shoe. They hug your foot and ankle so your heal isn't walking up and down.

Boots

The boots, with the circle around the big T, are pull on 15 inches, tall. "Super light, comfortable, good walking boots.

Inner heal wore out on my 5yr old Quatro boots. Getting another pair of insulated boots. Do I need to go a size larger to not have the same problem? Boots go on a Peet dryer after every use
