BBCHA and BBOA

What’s the difference?
At the Grand American the high scoring bbcha male and BBOA male were not the same dog. I guess they weren’t members of both groups. Why join one over the other? Should you join both?

Im not sure what the difference is either. I’m sure the people that belong to one or the other will say theirs is better. Myself being relatively new to Blue dogs think its best to support both and I tired to, however a couple years ago I sent my money to BBCHA and never received membership, Blue book, etc. They cashed my check and I reached out several times but never heard back, that left a sour taste in my mouth. Therefore I belong to BBOA, never had a problem receiving my membership card, Blue book, etc. Good luck!

They are basically 2 brothers, competing for CEO position of the same company. Each has a few dedicated loyalists, but most within the company will support either one at any given time that they hold an event near them. It's a difficult company to preside over because it's made up of individuals who don't agree with each other on much and are so mentally deranged that they call chasing dogs around at night through the worse swamps and briar patches on the planet "fun"!

Response to JHannack above

Hello JHannack….regret your experience. It may be too late to investigate the circumstances. However, if you would send me info on how and to whom you submitted your dues (and how & to whom you followed up with) I would be glad to look into it.

Anyway, please send any info to me via my email address or call me at 405-665-2518. I would also like to have your mailing address so I can get a 2107 BBCHA Historical Blue Book mailed to you. The 2018 books available in 1st quarter of 2019. I believe you will enjoy it, and you will be further able to judge BBCHA. Thanks.

BBOA-BBCHA

The only difference that I know of is the BBOA is UKC approved to accept non UKC Blueticks for UKC Registration. My only thought on Membership is 1st. year Membership the additional Bluebook charge of $20 for BBOA and $5 for BBCHA.

I’m not sure of what went wrong three years ago when I didn’t get my membership. What I can say is both Guy and Jim went out of their way to make things right! I will definetly support them moving forward.
