I'm just glad the results were the way they were, we was 2/2 😎 the way I look at it they're from the same kennel & have been hunted by 1 man for the most part! I'd say hard work shows off, I'm going to give it hell this week with Cali, I hope it's 1 man with 2 dogs going to the semi finals.... The reason I missed deadline was I was helping Billy Stark get Crow caught, we had a great early round as well... Just part of it, everything happens for a reason.

I've hunted them both together quiet a bit, I very seldom pull them off trees together

If G-Man was hunted down and tuned up, it would be a good match. I'd still put my money on her though right now. He needs a good month or two put on him. He has no idea what is about to hit him. lol

Adam, I've never been invited to join one of these teams. I'm not in it for the competitions so I guess for me there is no need for a team.
I'm way better at being a fan instead of a player. That way deadlines don't matter much to me. I can eat anytime I'm hunger at an event and I don't have to buy a new light or fancy dog box. My current dog box I only paid $40.00 for and I've had it about 15 years ,it was used when I got it. It doesn't even have a bottom in it.
I also don't need a uniform or a watch, whistle or fancy hat. I've had more fun being the only guy left on the grounds to get asked to be the non-hunting judge on one of those "special" casts.
Teams are fine but so is watching the teams win or fall apart. Somebody's got to be the speck-tater

Misfits..

Yep, Kelly & Adam. We are on a team that has no membership, it's called the misfits and we are on the island of misfit coon hunters. Ain't nobody driving to NJ to buy a pup or try out a dog. There are not any RQE's within 5 hours drive or PKC hunts at all around me. No Super Slams or big time special events, all are miles and hours away. Hoo ra every once in a while we go to a hunt and win. Even every once in a while we get to go to a big event and maybe place. Only benefit is you can walk around these events in absolute obscurity and nobody bothers with you. Maybe a friendly head nod or tip of the hat and maybe that is better then being mobbed by people asking a whole lot of questions. Well my dog box has a bottom but is probably around 15 years old. Maybe we should incorporate and seek out members with old dog boxes. Maybe just wood ones. Well good luck to all the teams, wish I was on one� Maybe I am and don't know it. Lucas, out.

Hell, I built my box out of plywood. It's got a bottom and a divider. You think NJ is out of the loop, try being in Montana lol. I'm working on a team now. Finally had to admit to myself that having a little help isn't a bad thing. I think good things happen when people work together towards a common goal. That being said if everyone got along It'd sure be boring and the push to be better or produce better dogs is what improves the dogs we hunt.

I got something better than a team , on teams sometimes you can't pick the other members , sometimes even the members have a hard time getting along.
I have had many people help me along the way and I am very happy to call them friends. Harry O,and Ryan Briggs, now those two guys got me what I got today. I am lucky for sure to have a long list of redbone friends ,too long to even try to mention them all but they know . That is what has always been the most important to me.
When I get too old to hunt, I will remember all my good times with friends and to tell the truth most of those times where not during a nite hunt and competing. It was spending time doing other things. I'm sure most the teams feel the same way.

So it's been awhile from this issue of the king's nuggets of wisdom, have any of you "unfriended" a few people? Maybe started a new solo journey to the top?

I've learned all I have to do is mention a few names, hunt a particular line of dog (despite owning and occasionally hunting others) and I get all the enemies a man could hope for. It's great...like a package deal...
