Nano on garmin collar

Anybody running the nano on a garmin collar? Was going to order a couple. Figure I'd bolt it through the collar and rubber strap between the main unit and GPS box on my tt10s and 15s

Looked them up on line. They look like a cool item. Just seems expensive 45-65$ a month. Seems you would be better off to buy a long range truck antenna for when they get to deep to pick up. Being attached to the collar it would be ineffective if the collar was taken off by someone as would a garmin. If you can't track them with the garmin I doubt you'd be able to track them with the nano.

Cool device tho. Would be great in other applications

What!? 45$-50$ a month????

Long range antenna gets me 4 miles on the tt15.

My old vhf collars get twice that range.

$45 a month for anything to tie on a dog is ludicrous. Somebody has bumped their head. I don't have a dog worth that much. In a year I'd be over budget on these muts.

What am I missing here with the NANO I don't see anything about 45$ a month??

All i see is the purchase price of $95 and batteries in bulk are somewhere around $1 each.

I spend about 50$ a day in fuel with coyote hounds

i didnt see anything about a monthly charge either?.... i still have a quick track system and would consider using these on the garmin rather than having to use the additional telemetry collar...

.

NANO Technology is just the study and application of small things. It is nothing more than a very small tracking device that the old BEEP BEEP systems will pick up. It is a tracking collar that is 1/2 ounce and runs continuous for 5 days.

Here is the quick track write up.

The QTC-Nano uses our proven radio collar technology. QTC-Nano weighs an amazing 0.55 ounces, will run continuous for 6 days, provides the same long range as our QTC- XL extended range collars, and is waterproof. The Nano is powered by a CR 2032 3V battery which is changeable by the hunter. The QTC-Nano is designed to work with any of our model QTR receivers or telemetry receiver of your choice and can be programmed on any frequency from 216 to 221 Mhz. You can purchase replaceable CR 2032 3V batteries from us for only $0.50 per battery.

The QTC-Nano comes with a protective position sleeve, 10 batteries, and simply attaches onto your existing GPS tracking collars. The QTC-Nano can be used as a standalone tracking collar or as a tag along which will provide more range and battery life than any GPS tracking collar. If you intend to use as a standalone tracking collar please specify in the remarks section when ordering.

Sorry I typed in nano dog tracking device and that's was what popped up. There is a brand of gps tracker called nano. My mistake. Didn't know you was talking about a quick track

I'd bolt it through the collar strap and rubber strap and I'm thinking you can feed the wire up through the big antenna keeper and shrink wrap it up higher. Similar to how it's on quicktracks collar.
