I hunt against a guy that's a pastor and he is crooked. I'll leave out the breed but he promotes himself pretty big. My wife hunted against him last year and he tried to bully her abit initially until she was winning then he started bullying the judge. In the end he lost anyways

And the neighbour down the road says she's 'godly' always making comments and talking about church and she's the biggest liar I know.

Well my hound has been on Doxy for 3 weeks and gets his 2nd shot Thursday. I took him out hunting last night he treed 1 and was still out of energy after only going 326 yards. Got back to the truck and he was done for the night. I'm hoping after his last shot and another 2 weeks of Doxy he will get his energy back.

Well the 2 shots have been given and the Doxycycline treatment is done for Ehrlichiosis. I have hunted him 3 times now and he is alot slower on track now than before. Back to the vet next week to spend another $140 on labs to be sure Ehrlichiosis is gone and test thyroid level's.

Minimum baseline should be a Wellness health exam, comprehensive blood panel and 4DX test. Looking at $200-$$250 to rule out most major diseases. Ehrlichia , Heartworm , Anaplasma, Lyme , kidney disease , liver disease, diabetes , heart disease , general infections, ear infection, urinary tract infection etc.

It can take 6 mos to 2 yrs before a dog is fully recovered from Erlichiosis. And you may have to put them through 2-3 rounds of Doxy. Gr Nt Ch Boone had it 2 yrs ago and is just now getting back to his old self.

I'm hoping not, but he was 90 % accurate before meds now he has made 7 slicks in a row. Total different hound in just 3 months.

Well after a year of battling Eurlychia with Ronnie he passed away last night. It was nice that he went out the way he did treeing hard and under a coon. Shortly after my pup got in there to him he went silent. Once I got to the tree I found him passed away at the base of the tree. I knocked the coon out and left it at the base of the tree with Ronnie as I know that's were he deserved to be.. I had some good times with Ronnie and they will always be in my mind while out there at night listening to other hounds run

Sorry to hear about you losing you're dog. Like you said he went out doing something he was bred to do. As far as having a dog checked out by a vet before purchasing. That's the best $150-250 you can spend. With the price of a nice dog running $4-$10000 whats a couple hundred to have one checked out.
