TT15 collar antennae repair tip

Any tips on what to repair the rubber tip of a TT15 collar with - while waiting on new antennae? I'm sure if I put electrical tape on it, it'll comes off as soon as the dog get in thick brush.

solder or I think I saw those little rubber type tips at Lowes . they are protective tips used on screws that stick out on furniture .put a dab of glue before sliding on.
