Randy Tallon on here has a GRNITE male that direct out of Casey and a NITECH female that he still hunts.

GRNITE Wild Cal is probably about 7.

I have a daughter out of Logan, was looking for a male to breed her to. Already have Card hounds in kennel for down the road but looking to get tighter now while still available.

Probably not getting hunted much but still young and able. I think he just turned 6 years old.
I seen him go back in January. He has a lot of similarities as his ol' man. Opens a little more on track than Casey.
We have a litter off him now that we have high hopes for.

How tight do you want go?
Off the top of my head.... Pine Ridge Tuff and Joe Newlin's Hitman dog are two of the tightest bred Clover dogs out there.

We bred a half sister of Card (dam's side) to Tuff. Stylish Harry & Lipper bred on top to Tuff.

I know of a guy in MN that just bred a Card female that is heavy Clover bred to Tuff.

There is a Gr Nt male in IA off of Casey x Chic that might interest you.

We used to have a female off of Logan as well. Not sure how she was bred on the bottom. Dad sold her and I believe she made Gr Nt Ch.

Casey has given me everything I like in a Big Game hound. They track great and have a real good nose for the conditions I deal with. I think the Tuff hound would cross well but need to find out more about him as far as pros and cons. I need a male that is like my female and that will throw big boned pups not the fine boned slick haired one's.

Spanky,

Zack and Shack can ship chilled semen. This may be your best bet instead of traveling....

Thanks John...I will look into some of the local vets to see if any of them have dealt with Chilled or frozen semen. Good to know that Zack and Shack collected Tuff.

I will be talking to Brian sometime this week. I will try to get a list of the females bred when Casey was at home and not out east. I know crane view Joey (pacman x joey)was bred to him. there is a male in western iowa out of that cross he's about 8 y.o. I actually sent a son of that dog to Montana.

That cross of pacman on joey along with the Hardwood Dan cross on Joey just did not produce enough hounds and did not get promoted enough. There were some awesome pups there that I wish I could have some of that blood today.

Don Holum of oregon had a female out of the pacman/joey cross called Holums Clover Class. He bred here a time or two to his Banjo hound and then shipped her to california. I got two pups out of her 10 years ago, one is still alive the other is since gone.

Casey crossed on Craneview should have been an excellent cross.

The Reiter's from waterloo Ia owned Joey, they might know of something that would be helpful. Brian only has enough semen on Casey to breed 1 or 2 females so basically what we have is all thats left. Hardwood Joy who was out of Tony's Clover and Hardwood Dan was bred to Casey. These dogs should be about 7ish but I never hear about the males??? Another option would be the Cache River Strike cross that was made a few times I know there are some left from that. they are in Arkansaw, Oklahoma area. My spyder female is a daughter to a dog from the first cross.

Terry...if and when you speak with Brian, let him know Clyde has turned into a top hound for sure. He is one of my main hounds and I run him on cougar, bobcat and bear. I lost his phone number.
Clyde treeing a cougar on his own....

Clyde on another cougar as a 2 year old.....

Clyde treeing his first winter with Jazz at 10 months....
