i am posting this to hopefully help doug sell some of these good looking pups and get them into the hands of folks to hunt them. i have already gave him a deposit on a female myself.
i live in arkansas but travel ms for work. i have hunted with tapp twice this winter on two short hunts. the hunts where relatively short because tapp doesn't waste any time in getting under a coon(or two). i have been to four trees this dog made, all in very short order, and looked at 6 coons. tapp is a coon treer. obviously a winner just from his titles at his relatively young age. i haven't hunted with doug's gyp, but bryan, the owner of tapp has and he said she was a really nice gyp.
i liked tapp so well i have already bought a female off another gyp that is 4 months old and was trailing squirrels and opening when i brought her home a month ago. treed on a dead drag the first and only time i tried it with her.
as i'm in ms for work every couple of weeks, if you are west of the mississippi river and it would help you to get one of these pups by having it brought to central ar i would be glad to bring it over after they are ready.
