give it bones to chew on, toys to play with, another pup to play with, etc.

sometimes it's boredom. sometimes it's just plain stupidity.

I would use a bark collar on pup...
Some folks don’t like the Garmin bark limiter but that is the only one I use...there might be better out there because I haven’t tried many but this one is tough and convenient...the first ones would sometimes shock the dog because of other loud noises but the newer ones work well and the battery life between charging is great...

I didn’t learn this overnight and it isn’t 100 percent but it helps...

Many times we send mixed signals to the pups and dogs...
Examples below...

Get home from work and go say hi to pup...pup learns when you drive up to start barking with excitement because you always go to kennel when you drive up...
And when he barks and you walk up to pet him he is training you to come when he barks so he thinks...

You step out of the house to go to the garage and pup starts barking and you go trying to shut him up and you use water hose spray on him...don’t do it once, he will step in his house as soon as you turn to step away he will step out...again say no and make him get back in the house...do this 3 times each time giving the no command or whichever you use and using whatever discipline you use...

Also don’t ever encourage the pup to bark while he is kenneled...

If he barks while you are walking toward kennel hush him up and go back inside..,

Walk to kennel when pups is quiet and praise the pup and feed or do whatever is on the agenda...

The bottom line be consistent and don’t send mixed signals...

It’s not 100 percent effective but it helps...
