Life span of Garmin GPS

I am going to go ahead and fork out the money for an astro 320 but was wondering how many years should I expect to get out of it? Have anyone experienced problems buying used systems and collars? I have to get it because of the areas I hunt are to close to roads but I want to make the most informed purchase I can.

Thank you

I still have an Astro that was purchased in 2008, stilll works fine. Also have three DC-30's that were bought within months of them being released. No problems with them other than replacing a battery in one and antennas on two of them.

Go ahead and get the alpha. I love mine. It's a step above the 320 and the 320 was great
