Could someone please tell me what I could do to stop our coondogs from chewing on wood.

Unfortunately not much can be done. A lot of dogs chew when they aren't in shape, or get hot. Best advice I have is get the dog in tip top shape... There are a couple other ways to help prevent it but they aren't quite as dog friendly...
