Bryce I think you just answered my next question... so can I not pair a phone and a tablet to the dogtra at the same time? Also it may have been answered already but can I not add a buddy’s collars mid hunt with an ID number?

I've had the systen for a couple of weeks now, and really enjoy the simplicity of it. It's user friendly and is really quite the system for the money. I don't see any reason that I would go back to the Garmin.

Steve
Are you still using this System and still liking it ?

This Newer Version looks even better with the Collar Lights on it.

I recently switched from the Alpha to the Pathfinder and so far so good. Like the maps alot, im still getting used to things but it seems pretty reliable. I like that I can link it to my apple watch and control things from it to.

The black one for the regular Pathfinder. The yellow one is for the new Pathfinder 2.

Has anyone switched from the garmin alpha 200i for the pathfinder? I've had zero issues with my 200i but I'm always interested in new gadgets if there's a benefit in them.

Well, I'll answer my on question. I made the switch and so glad that I did. For my style hunting it's superior to the garmin. I don't care about having other hunters dogs on my device because I hunt alone with 2 dogs at the most. I have yet to lose signal with my dog and can't say that about the alpha. The charging port on the collars doesn't require me to srub all of the mud/dirt away before it makes contact with the charger. I previously had a garmin instinct watch attached to the alpha and found it to be unimpressive compared to the dogtra on my Samsung watch. You can't go wrong with either system but for my money, I prefer the pathfinder2.

Pathfinder 2

I Sold all my Garmin stuff and still have my original Dogtra Pathfinder......thinking of going ahead & getting the Pathfinder 2.
Garmin has too much garbage on it for my liking and I like things Simple. I only need to know where my Dog is & the way back to the truck....that's it.

I’ve got one and haven’t had any range issues but I’m hunting curs now lol.
Just like carrying your shocker only has the screen on the bottom with the arrow pointing to where they are.
I’m like you only just needing something simple and this fit the bill.
I use the tone quite a bit at times and it’s just like using your old Tri-tronics.
Gundogsupply and DU supply have videos of all the features. I’m sure many others do.

I watched videos from both of those places....Very informative and they are saying the Range is about the same as the Alpha...even though Alpha says 9 miles....in reality it's more like 1.5 to 2 miles.

I am going to try one.....looks very similar & I don't need Maps etc.
Thanks
Tim

Quick shock

Prefer pathfinder 1, I have to do an extra step to shock, for me it makes me think twice, no range problems either. The money I saved spending on my grandchildren.
