Just wanted to brag on my pup a little bit,she's really coming along,better than any pup I have had this age...we cut her loose alone tonight she struck about 90 yards up a small branch and came treed at 360 yards from the truck and stayed on the tree until I got to her barking every breath...she's 10 months old and is really Showing out...love it when all the hard work starts showing results..I got a video but not sure how to post it..

Shadinc it's actually her second solo coon and I'm just as happy as i was with the first...seeing results after all the time you have in a dog makes you appreciate what you have accomplished,I have been out of the sport for quite a while and now it makes me wonder why I stopped in the first place...if somebody could tell me how to post a video of her I would..

Wbd91,

Congrats on the pup. Many people have no idea of the time, money, patience and boot leather it takes to turn a pup into a coondog....or even a dog that can tree a coon. It is very rewarding when that pup you've poured all your efforts into starts putting the pieces together. You see small steps of improvement each time to the woods. THAT'S the fun part of it!!
