Does anyone elses stud dog have trouble breeding females??????

I would say at least 90% of the people in our breed have this problem. Some because of where you live and who lives around you and others because the dog may or may not be well known. Some just stay in clicks and breed to each other, which is there choice. We breed to what we think will work and what will sell pups, to afraid to try something different because we don't want a world champ coming from someone else's stud dog. Not knocking anybody on how they breed or what they breed to, just giving my opinion and thats all it is

I think he meant the male has trouble when he tries to breed a female and cant get the job done. I thought for a long time there was a problem with Fog but i found out hes just not an aggresive breeder. If a female will stand alot of aggresive breeders will breed her before she has dropped all her eggs and thats why sometimes you only get a couple of pups. I have had females at my house that Fog wouldnt hardly look at and they were supposed to be ready according to the number of days since first blood or even according to a vet. Most of the time if the female was left with me I would let Fog check her everyday. Most of the time he ended up breeding the female, sometimes not til the 20th day or more. Nobody can tell when a female is ready better than a male. Some males just arent that interested in breeding which is not all bad. You can take the female and male to a vet and have him manually do the job if you have to. jmo

I hear ya Trent, I've had alot of peeps not bring their female to me at the right time. Dozer is cane bred, so he is not that tall and he has trouble with the taller females also.
I've give up on depending on peeps and their females, as I dont get too many calls. (Guess I just dont own one of those High powered studs). So I have decided to breed to my own females.
I've been waiting months for my young females to come in and find it odd that they havnt. So I have heard the problem is more in the females not coming in as much as in the days of old. And I have found this to be true, pending on which females(breeds of coondogs) your talking about.
I've spent more time and money on ad.s, promoting,traveling and hunting than I would ever get to break even with in stud fees.
I'm now at survival mode, just wanting to keep Dozer's bloodline carrying on. Hawk Gone I havnt had the same problem with, I have had a lot of pups off him.

YOU AND ANYBODY HAVING TROUBLEGETIN THERE MALES TO BREED NEED TO ORDER SOME { OXYSTUD} FROM REVIVALANIMALHEALTH.IVE SEEN IT WORK .WEVE USED IT ON A COUPLE OLD MALE DOGS THAT DIDNT HAVE THE ERGE TO BREED WHEN THE FEMALE WAS RED HOT.THE OXYSTUD PUTS A LITTLE WANT TO IN ANY MALE HOUND YOUNG OR OLD AND IT MAKES THERE SPERM COUNT GO WAY UP CALL REVIVAL AND THEY WILL TELL YA ALL ABOUT IT ,,IT WORKS IVE USED IT ,,HAVE A BLESSED ONE ,,,RON
