This may be a far fetched question because it was so long ago. But is there any heavy Cherokee Red bred hounds out there? Looking for this bloodline particularly because my papaw hunted with the hound and said he was the best red dog he had ever been in the woods with and produced good pups as he owned a few out of him. For him to say that about him means alot to me because he had hunted with alot of the best red dogs around in the 50s thru the early 90s.

He was most definitely a Heavy Heavy Tree dog. He’s behind Fireball. Stub Haynes handled him I believe.
