Come one, come all! Tonight is the biggest exihibition of the Fall!

The 2018 UKC World Championship is in its FINAL stage of competition.

Four hounds have EARNED their coveted positions in the Final Four cast that is preparing to depart the grounds here shortly.

United Kennel Club (and myself included) would like to congratulate these hounds and handlers for making it to the end of this illustrious competition.

The Final Four has been assembled here on the grounds and will be departing for the woods promptly at 7:30 PM EST. The cast has roughly 45-50 minute commute to the woods before the action will begin and a NEW World Champion will be crowned.

Pull up a chair and sit awhile, and join in on all of the live, minute by minute action that is about to unfold before your very eyes!

The trucks are rumbling out of the fairgrounds as we speak!

Like I mentioned before, the cast has about a 45 minute ride to where they will be hunting this evening.

Accompanied by local OSDNR official Fred Dierkes, the cast is heading to the Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area, just outside of Harpster, Ohio.

These woods haven't seen the likes of a coon dog in a long while from what I have heard from local sources, and it is said to be haunted by many, many ringtails, prime for the treeing!

Along with a excellent hunting location, weather in the area has cooled down significantly, hanging in the upper 50's, after a large front moved through the area early Friday afternoon, dumping its share of rain on the parched valley.

This sounds like the perfect formula for creating a new World Champion Coonhound. Who will be the lucky hound dog to walk away with the crown? Stay tuned!

The cast has arrived at the Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area where they will be hunting tonight.

The OSDNR officials have taken the cast to a nearby headquarters on the Wildlife Area where they can get geared up and prepared for the night's events.

The cast will probably be in this location for a little while, getting instructions from Allen Gingerich and Final Cast photos, so stay tuned!

After about ten minutes of sweating it, someone on the cast fessed up that they had Allen's boots and gave them back to him...

The culprit shall remain nameless...

Handlers are currently unloading their dogs.

The UKC Field Reps are thoroughly impressed with the sportsmanship they have seen out of these handlers so far, they think this will be one of the best Finals yet!
