Dual Sired Litter?

Has anyone ever had a litter Sired by two males. What are the procedures to get the litter registered? The female and both males have DNA Profiles done.

Also how did you breed the different males. Same day, different days?

Each Pup u intend to register will have to be DNA'ed ,make sure the parents dna is on file with UKC. Ur biggest cost will be haveing each pup DNA'ed.
I used live cover and AI when I did mime
Costly.

From what I understand it has to be done same day in close proximity to be accurate.

Dual Sired Litters

I've done it twice with Penney. Once with artificial insemination one day and live breeding 24 hours later. Frozen semen only lives 12 hours. Live semen can live 5 days in the right female. She had 9 pups, one dead, 6 by artificial semen, 2 by live semen.
The second time it was all artificial insemination by both sires and she had 8 pups. You need DNA profiles on all possible parents before you send in the swabs for the pups.
PKC profile charge per pup is $40, UKC per pup is $49. It takes months to get the results back. Two months for PKC DNA profiles and four months for UKC as they currently use different labs.

.

Thanks for al the reply. After more thought, I am going to jut breed her to one male. It is not the money for the DNA but probably because of two things. One the aggravation that will be involved and the second and the most important is I am not fully sold on the second male yet being a sire of a litter. Thanks for all the replies.
