Think they evolved from the House line of hounds. Bobby Shive had them. Shives Goldhill Tom was advertized in the magazines. Bobby had an accident, falling out of a tree he was climbing when coonhunting. That left him in a wheel chair. Talking to him in his late years at SE Treeing walker days in NC was the best part of the trip.
