What if they coyote came to the tree and when he barked at the dogs it made the bees mad and they all left the tree and they ran out in the field the bull and his cows went to chasen them and the donkey kicked the bull and that made the bull mad at the donkey so they could make their escape to unposted land and after all that the whole cast voted not to minus them and have an hour to catch their dogs and regroup.

Sure you could do that per the rules but I'm thinking most would just throw in the towel and call it night!
Tar, when you were up that tree did you ask for a time out?

No one said anything about unminusing anything. You can call timeout and delete for danger before minus. It happens all the time for roads, posted land and danger is included in the same rule. It is left up to the cast or non hunting judge to decide whether something is truly dangerous or as I mentioned before grasping at straws.

Chey just said when his cast got in a buffalo stampede on the Indian land he was last man standing the rest of cast headed for the hills.

This rule can be implemented by the non hunting judge or with a hunting judge by a majority vote.

The problem with this is if only part of the cast is effected by the coyote (say 2 dogs are ran off tree by it) and the other 2 are treed else where, the other 2 handlers are not gonna agree to call time and get their tree deleted. If a hunting judge is used and calls time, who got a bad break then? The handler with his/her dog sitting under a coon else where? Now if all dogs are ran off the tree , they prolly agree to call it interference .

Just when I was getting concerned about your whereabouts and silience on this subject, you got down from the tree, ran to safety, and found a computer and posted a reply. I would have paid big money to have seen you running and climbing that tree in person. Lol. Dave

Anyone that is treed in when time outs are called their trees are still scored. Dogs struck are deleted.

Allen has said multiple times before that once a dog is treed in, it can not for any reason leave the tree. The second the dog left the tree it is minus no excuses, it left a tree it's minused. If it comes in and runs a dog off a track you can vote whatever you want but if there is a tree involved it changes everything.

So if dogs are struck in but standing on their heads in a woods and the cast hears a coyote they can call time out because of danger, catch the dogs and delete their strike points?

Or if dogs get after or tree a Bear, you can call time out because of danger, delete their strike and catch them.

You nailed it with this one. I would guess that scenarios similar to this are used more often than most will ever know as an excuse to change spots. Especially since time outs for the heck of it and minus strike are not an option timeout rules.

You may think it sissy, but coyotes aren't playing fair. They come in numbers. They can and will kill hounds at a tree. Seen it done before we could get into a tree one night down here. poor hound never stood a chance. When its about 5 to 1 the odds are not good. Make it 1 on 1 and most hounds will win that battle.

Now Robert , you know a hound needs to be scratched for fighting that coyote. Its against the rules to fight even self defense.😂

Why you calling BS ? Itís possible, very possible. Down here in North Mississippi a pack of coyotes is not a big surprise at all coming into a dog thatís treed. Had to shoot a pistol in the air quite a few times.Part of it I guess.
