Bayer tree and shrub?

Heard this is some good stuff for fleas just looking for some info on how to use it? How much do u mix in a back pack spray and how much to put on the dogs?

I use Bayer Advance Complete Insect. I mix it like the label says for spraying around the kennels and I put 8 cc's down the adult hounds back on top of the skin...
Always heard the Tree and Shrub had some type of fertilizer in it that could hurt the hounds...

The tree and shrub that don't have fertilizer in it is what you use. Its hard to find though.

i used a quart of bayer tree and shrub and it worked just fine.. before i used all of it i bought a quart of ORTHO MAX Tree and Shrub. Both have the active ingredient - Imidacloprid 1.47%. other stores will sale the same thing under differnt names. just look for the active ingredient with out fertilizer.
you apply 1/4cc for every pound of dog. so a 60 pound dog will get 15cc. ideally you need a 20cc syringe, w/o a needle, put the tip of the syringe against the dogs skin and as you plow the tip through the fur, squirt the juice onto the dogs back. do this slowly because it tends to run off. after squirting it onto the dogs skin pat the fluid in to keep it from running off. wear gloves. you're using more liquid because of the lower amount of active ingredient.

it works better if you add a second chemical, like the commercial flea and tick treatment.
for this use 10% permethin. you find this in feed stores like tractor supply. apply 1/2cc for every 10 pounds. for a 60 pound dog use 3cc. use a smaller syringe and do the same as above. . you can one or the other or both at the same time. they work bettter if used together. applly every 30 days.

WTF? As a City Forester I would not use Bayer tree and shrub on my plants, why would you put it on a hound?

For trees or hounds?
For hounds maybe something made for dogs, frontline, biospot are a couple that work for me.
For trees, its best to wait until there are actually insecets harming your tree before using a pesticide.
When they are use an mico-injection or foliar spray.

I use it right out of bottle, but I also put it in a spray bottle so you dont use as much as pouring...works fine.

Imidaclorprid is labeled for dogs for fleas. If you wait till you have insects in trees to use it you have waited too late. It works by systemic action ,d t'e awhile to protect a tree.
It probably does not work too well as a yard spray for fleas because flease do not chew on grass to my knowledge.

yes it is hard to find but right now to Ortho tree and Shrub does not have fertilizer and is also 1.47 percent Imidachlorprid same as bayer. It comes with a water hose attachment. As far as fertilizer goes I would not worry about it. Heck I sling 20-5-10 in my garden by hand and get in my boots and walk around in it all day. LOL the fertilzer in T+S os like 0.035 percent. Not enough fertilizer to make a cowPea after a daily shower of Rain and shower of s---.

old dominion t&s does not have fertilizer in it. can find it online for $7/bottle.
