I brought Oz back to MO about a month ago. Battie was in heat and I hoped to breed her to Oz. That didn't work out.
Last night I got in from hunting and Oz didn't come out of his dog house. I checked on him and he had passed to the happy hunting grounds. He was 10 years old.
Oz was a coondog, per everyone that I know of that hunted with him. Independent and accurate and "go hunting". He produced 2-3 litters and has a few titled pups, including a couple GrNt's. Alot of people, including myself, missed out on him in his prime. But there was semen collected, and if it wasn't ruined, he may still carry on.
