I need some sound advice

Got a hound that is impressive in several departments. Actually top shelf.

But, I got a big problem.

If she gets into an electric fence or if I push the button to move her around we are done for the night not just the drop.

I just found this problem out.

She can take more than any dog I have ever seen and still lay sulled up 50% of time.

Give me some ideas if anyone has had one like this.

Billy can do one better then that the one and I think I just figured him out last night. Wouldn't have took this long but he's silent on track and don't stop til he finds a coon that's still kicking bark in his face goin up. Problem is we don't have the coon population to support his style and I gotta run him down every time he don't get treed. I thought he was just ignorant and wouldn't come when ever I called him until I got within 50 yards of him. Wherever he's standing when I start calling him is where you're gonna walk to get him. I've been thinking he's hung up in there on something he's not sure enough about to tree and too ignorant to come to me calling him but I've never once been able to see anything up when I walk him down. Last night I'd had enough and really needed get my hands on him. I barely tickled him once and toned him couple times and he balled up in the grass and was still laying there when I put a leash on him. I believe the damage was done before I got him and there's likely nothin I'm gonna do to fix it. He even associates my voice with that collar and he's done when he hears it. His style paired with that problem and our coon population and I think I'm screwed. At least right now I'm lost for what to do next.

If she’s only timid of the electricity and not the tone try taking the prongs off your collar. I have had a dog that knew what they did and he hunted much better with them off.

I move her around because I don’t allow wallering in one place or coming back on your same track.

Donnie, I know the feeling.

Them dogs with that “heart” get back up and go.

It’s the weak ones that break me out in a cold sweat

Have u tried waiting her out..... I know this is boreing, but sooner or later she's got to move on her own accord.
It's taken some of mine between 30 min./1.5 hours to move on their own.
And it takes a couple of committed nites of hunting knowing that you'll be sitting there waiting on a dog thats idle.

Jay, that’s what I did Wednesday and Thursday night. I decided Friday night I was too old for that.

However, after last nights episodes she left every drop tonight like a rocket and wasn’t no zig zagging back and forth. Today she must laid up and thought about it. I glad she did because I couldn’t take many more nights like last night.
