I hope that y'all.base your decisions on actual events and not "growing concerns". Let the coon hunters involved make the decision as to how "concerned" they are. If they are concerned enough, they can stay home but if they aren't then they can decide to go. The government shouldn't make that decision for us.

NO WORRIES

they say it only effects people of retirement age , so no big concern RIGHT.. I know I have a heart condition and can not be too careful about not getting it. The lawyers are just lining up waiting to sue some big businesses such as the UKC if people would get covid-19 at one of their events , same as all the other sports.

How could you sue the organization that put on the event if you made the informed decision to go to it? It is your responsibility to make your own decisions. Can you sue the company that you work for if you get the Corona Virus?

Its comical how they put a number on events ...

So if theres under a 100 you wont get it?
BUT if over 100 your're guaranteed to get it? DUMB.

This Country has went slap crazy.

By that logic UKC should never hold an event again.

Oh my goodness, the only hunts that UKC holds are AO, Winter Classic, Purina Hunt and World Championship. The others are held by different Breed Associations and local clubs. The next UKC hunt is the Purina Championship. Last year, there were less than 50 people in a very large open building at any one time because it was divided up into breeds. And that was just early on Fri night for about 30 minutes. There are a lot of ways to practice social distancing at these events and limit exposure.
The first is to have drawouts outside and disperse the crowd. Another is to divide draw out times into Champions and registered groups. You only call them out 4 at a time and then they disperse. You can practice social distancing and not call off the event all together. If you, think that you are at risk or are just worried, then you can avoid any group of 4 or more people and stay out of any closed in building. As I have said before, It is a personal preference. This is America, just because you are worried doesnt mean that others should modify their behavior to suit you. If you don't want to go stay home.

Leopard Days Scheduled for March 26th-28th, 2020

It is with disappointment that we (ALBA) must announce the postponing/cancellation of Leopard Days reunion in Flora, Illinois scheduled for March 26-28, 2020. The state of Illinois has basically made the decision for us and we are currently working with the UKC to come up with an alternate date. We will communicate any updated information as it becomes available through numerous lines of communication. Sorry for any inconvenience that this creates. Thanks for your understanding!

Corbin Bultmeier- VP ALBA

Don’t be selfish. Listen to what the CDC and your state says. Reschedule your hunts after all this passes. Most hunters actually got the criteria of 60+ or close to it so keep ya butts at the house or go pleasure hunt.

My question though is... Till what passes? What benchmarks are they looking for untill they think life as normal can return? If our leaders are going to cite the current levels as reasons for disturbing the global economy and our freedoms... Shouldn't they also tell us what they are looking for to end it?

Leaders are putting out daily updates what would you like them to do? I’m in the military. Right now our get well timeline is early May but even that could change.
