Mt. Cur pup trainer squirrel dog
OMCBA registered male 7 years old, brindle in color, weighs 55 pounds. Pretty solid squirrel dog was used as a pup trainer by the guy I bought him off of. I bought him to train a pair of fiest but simply don’t have the time he is just wasting in the kennel. I was told he would tree a coon also but I’ve only ever used him for squirrel. Dog is 85% nose 15% eyes and ears when hunting, silent on track unless super hot then will make one or two barks before treeing.
Pros
Solid squirrel dog
Handles well can be recast no problem loads himself also
Decent tree mouth
Patient with young dogs
Cons
Using mostly nose at times squirrel can be in the next tree, but he will ride out with it if he sees it.
Can go wide if hasn’t been hunted in a while
Digs holes in my kennel to lay in, he was on a chain when I bought him and I saw no holes
While he does handle well he sometimes will choke himself when on the leash if he is anxious to go hunting
He is not a junk dog or trade dog I just dont want him to sit and waste away any longer, I have two fiest walker mix females 18 months old I would love for someone to give a chance to also. I’m asking $450 for the male dog and would gladly give the females away to someone who would give them a chance. Cur is Streak bred on top and Franklin hall of fame on bottom.
