If Bruce's dog has a coon in each tree, do you plus both of them? What if one tree is slick and one has a coon?

Now don't go muddying the water with more questions! I'm still giving Bruce 125 for his dogs splitting skills on the split coon. Also my add this split treeing acrobatics to my pup training program you never know when you may need that!

.

Can't remember, but sure the tops went together. One canopy then one tree. But there has to also be a limit to that. We have trees on canal banks that run for several hundred yards. You would be surprised the number of times someone wanted to plus a coon several yards from where the dogs were treeing. The secret to success is a honest, strong judge.

I would say majority of the cast run well. Then the stories of the cast get told to your buddies and then a different spin takes place once all the questions are answered. By the time the story is told over and over and all the questions get answered. No one can figure out what happened.

Back to the original question. First thing that has to happen is to determine if it is one tree (canopy touching) or it will be scored as split trees.

I had one a week or so ago the that I walked into the tree and my first words were. This isn't going to be good. Three small maples about 20 foot tall. As I was looking up my buddy who has went on the other side to look said. Need to check that large oak. One limb from the oak came down into the top of one of the small trees.

Coon Hunting has a lot of twist and turns and unfortunately one thing I think that has been removed by the lawyers trying to twist all the rules is. We are overlooking the fact we should be trying to determine which dog is the best. When the cast has a grey area because of circumstances or not full knowledge of the rule. The outcome should go the dog resembling or trying to be a coondog. Not who the owner is.

Mr Conkey, it sounds to me like you are trying to use common sense. What rule does that fall under?
Jen, coonhunting is just like everything in life. There are a lot more questions than there are answers.

Haha Richard keep trying. It might work on others but it won't work on me. I might try to talk Tar into pulling your ponytail. This cool weather has got you feeling frisky.
Jen hit him with a few more questions. I think he's running out of answers.

Keep em coming. If you have the answers, I have the questions. And Mr River, since your lead response, I now know that you think I am "special".

That is what my granny used to say also. "Bless his heart, he is special". I was going to say something about getting to ride the short bus to school because I was so special but I was afraid that it would hurt Tarbaby's feelings. He got to ride the short bus too and he thinks that he is the only one. Besides, I don't think that it is politically correct to bring up the "short bus". It will probably get this thread poofed.

Can you tell that it is supposed to rain here all day?

Don't wanna get it poofed. Having too much fun. We'll just get a paint brush and paint over the original wording on the side of the bus and paint Winnibago. Hows that?

Jason ,It is the judges decision on scoring split trees, under scoring dogs,c, also look at hunting judges#2 there are only tree things a hunting judge does not have control over,a scoring tree plus ,minus ,circle B calling time out, and whether dogs are on same tree. It"s in the book
