Pedigree Gurus Question ?

Hey this is just for info , not to argue over but have you ever noticed how some great hounds get called one Lines name when really it is only a small portion of there make up?
Example: Sackett Jr. and Lipper some of you guys who are great with percentages tell us there make up % wise.

http://www.finleyriverchief.com/Foundation_Roots.php
Go here to look at there pedigree's

I may be wrong but it looks like to me Jr.was a 1/4 Yadkin River
And Lipper was only a 1/4 House blood...........

People will refer to a dog by a curtain bloodline name when its one they recognize or like no matter how much of it is in there.

The thing about Lipper and Jr is they were automatically their own bloodline. Few people think of the "House" part of the bloodline. They are simply Lipper dogs. The same thing with JR.

Gur'us

Shelters sonny boy was typical of what Finley river dogs were capable of on any given night. People just start a kennel name and use it to promote a bloodline. Take any big name dogs and trace it down. Take your pick of big name winners, example, flatrock coma was bred to what to start what? Bozo from what to what? Etc.

Hardwood bozo was the greatest, just from him, you had coma. Nite heat, clover, from there you had other lines
