They plan on using cast wins that ARE ON RECORD back to 2008. Most all of your cast wins that were not a firsr there will be no record of from regular open hunts. Exceptions may come from wins at RQE's, Zone hunts, State Championships ect.

In my opinion which I know wasn't asked for.But to me that is wrong and should not happen. They wasn't competing under those rules then and won't be till the first of the year.So why should any dog get credit for any cast wins it has prior to the first of the year for a grand nite or nite champion title? All those should be erased and no credit gave for them and start off with a clean slate when the new rules go in effect.

I thank UKC should credit those cast win. I knew a man had 10 second places, never made a Nite Champion.I get two first place wins. One cast win at the UKC Winter Classic that did'count, because it was't in the top ten. It will count on January 1 2019. If I don't get a cast win this year. I will need two cast to make a Nite Champion next year.

You obviously don't have a dog with cast wins. Mine has two firsts. If she doesn't get another by Dec. 31st, should she have to start over?

So in July of this year I won a cast with my Nite Champion dog in the UKC Youth Nationals, placed 6th on Friday night. Will this count as a win towards grand?

Yes I do have a dog with a couple of cast wins. And yes I feel if he doesn't get what he needs to finish to nite champion by December 31st he should be required to start over.Just as any other dog should have to.
