He was a very good stud dog.
You and I both have studs off him to carry on that blood. I was super impressed with Buddies reproducing
Ability.
You told me what type of pup buddy would throw when Jet was just 6 weeks old and he turned out just like you said. Now that's how you can tell you have a reproducing stud.

And lots of you do. I would sure give the Hillbilly Mac line that Mike has a chance. His dogs aren't related up close to anything lipper or Rat bred.
He's got the perfect outcross for you.
I've found his dogs to be balanced, easy to train, good tree dogs that aren't mean, highly intelligent and super eager to please. That's the number one trait I look for in a pup. His dogs produce that.

He was one of the winningest coonhounds the coonhound world ever saw. He won just about every major hunt you could win.
He is behind many of the best reproducing studs we have had in the Walker line. Bone collector just for starters has Hillbilly Mac in his 4 gen pedigree I believe. There's many more.

He will die here. Not a world beater,but he hunts hard for me. Will do whatever I ask of him and is just a plain ole "buddy" to me. He's a special hound.
