OFFSPRING

Spanky now has 2 wins towards GrNtCh. There was a question on dogs going back to same tree. Judge minused spanky because he went back to same tree and left but Ryan never treed him. Panel at the club agreed with the call and Ryan filed an appeal and of course won the appeal. You can't minus a dog leaving the tree if he was never treed in the first place.
I have Hank here at Southern Bluetick Kennels. He is a littermate to Spanky and has treed truck full of coons alone. He has a few things I am going to work on for Grant sparks and put him in a few hunts for him.

I have a very nice young dog here out of Goose that I am hunting that belongs to Grant Sparks. He is 16mths old and is a brother to our Spanky dog. Spanky is a ChNtCh with 2 wins towards GrNtCh. Hank has a good motor, huge mouth and likes to be alone with the meat. He looked good last night and he will be in the winners circle very soon.

I bred Goose to a nice female this week and didn't hunt him much. Im going to hit it hard with him over the next few weeks and get him ready for the Winter Classic. I look forward to seeing his offspring progress here at Southern Bluetick Kennels.

Goose

Goose bred 2 gyps in the last 2 weeks. We hit the woods last night and I gotta pound on him for the next few weeks getting him ready for the winter classic. He looked good last night and we alone with the meat on both drops.
Sapnky looked good last night too after a couple of bad hunts he was 2 for 2 as well. Gone stay on em!!!

Keeping Goose in the woods getting ready for the winter classic. Coons haven't been moving well but Goose covers ground and seems to be able to get one treed. He has been deep with the meat a lot lately. He sure isn't for the faint of heart when you cut him cause he is covering ground and it doesn't take him long.

Ole Goose sounds like he operates a lot like my Bolt dog, I wonder if Jobe put a good motor on the majority of his pups or just with certain females? Good luck at the winter classic

JOBE

I have owned and hunted 4 different males out of Jobe and Zeb x Dixie females. All of them had big motors and not much reverse. I know Jobe crossed very well with Angel , Sue, and Magic. They are not for the faint of heart as everyone I've hunted were hard going and HARD HEADED. Very head strong hounds that you have to show you are the boss but they definitely test you!!

HUNT
Ryan and I hunted Tuesday night and had a terrible hunt. First drop we cut Goose and a pup. Goose ran off and left the pup. Goose crossed the creek and got into some flooded timber. He opened a few times and loaded up right. He was treed in a lot of water but I couldn't find his coon. I think he just missed it. That is very unusual for him not to have the meat. Next drop we cut Spanky and Roxie. Roxie struck and spanky opened with her. They ran a good track for a short distance but not sure it was a coon. They hushed for a few minutes and we pulled around to get closer. When we got out of the truck they were treed. We made our way thru some rough stuff and finally got to them on the edge of a pond. It was slick as a mole. I grabbed Roxie and Ryan whipped Spanky. We moved and recut both dogs. Roxie finally struck and ran a short track and loaded up right. Spanky came in and treed as well. We got to them and Spanky was about 8 feet left handed on a den tree and Roxie had a big fat possum. Spanky's tree was pretty fishy to me and I think he just moved over cause it was a possum. lol I shot it out and gave Roxie an adjustment. We called it a night.

I hunted last night alone. First drop I cut Goose and a pup. Goose ran off and left the pup again so I've gotta put the pup with something else for awhile. Goose covered ground in a hurry. He struck at about 800yds and soon loaded up at .68. I made my way to him and he was in a pine thicket treed up a large pine tree. He had the meat and did a good job of getting gone and getting hooked with a coon a quick fashion. Next drop I cut Cotton and Roxie up a creek bottom. Cotton struck and Roxie put in with her. They worked a track up a beaver slough and almost simultaneously loaded up on a tree. It had started pouring rain. I made my way to the tree and they had the meat up a huge water oak. I rolled him out to them and called it a night when I got to the truck I was soaked to the bone. Im just gone stay on em!! Y'all keep'em Lookin' Up!!

I've been hunting Goose and getting ready for the winter classic. He will wear out a pair of boots if coons aren't stirring or you turn him in thin coons. He can get deep in a hurry if he has to but when he parks, you will see the meat.

GrNtChGrCh PR Southern Blue Goose

Getting Goose ready for the Winter Classic. Goose will definitely put some motor in his pups. His son ChNtCh PR Southern Blue Spanky has no reverse and will kick dirt in your face each time you cut him. He has another son called Hank that is the same way. They are 17mths old now. Ryan is getting Spanky ready for the Winter Classic as well. He has 2 wins towards GrNtCh. I bred 2 females to Goose a few weeks ago and hopefully we get a couple of nice litters. Both gyps are Coondogs.

I've been hunting Goose hard for the last few weeks and been hunting him alone. He has looked good and treeing coons consistently. Ryan took Spanky to a UKC hunt this weekend and got another win on him He has 4 now and hopefully will get finished soon. My two pups I have here out of Goose are nice!! Keith Sparks' pup is already coon crazy and is just a baby. Time will tell!!

Hunted Goose at winter classic this weekend. He didn't look good at all Friday night. He did get deep and get a coon treed but just wasn't firing on all cylinders. I had cast won til last 15 minutes and he went right on last drop other 3 went left on red hot track and treed coon. Saturday night was a different story and he had 3 trees deep and alone. 2 coons and a big den. I won the cast with 450+ and finished 10th place champion division Saturday. Ryan won his cast with spanky so I was proud to see Goose and his son Spanky get cast wins at the winter classic!!
