Any reports on Highball pups?
We have three two yr olds here from two different gyps that have turned into very good bear dogs. All three rig well from the truck, trail well with company or alone. They have good speed and tree well. All three can be loose hunted with very little trouble with trashing.

BC and Rocco are doing real well. BC is rigging and we have put him down several times to let him start the track. He seems like he's got a real good nose on him, sometimes striking from the rig ahead of Highball. Rocco is doing a real bang up job of running them. He's treed a couple on his own. He's got pretty good track speed and has been at the front of the pack the last several times he's been put down. Glad to hear yours are doing well. Keep us updated.

Lots of good reports on Highball pups. Several guys that bred to him before, are calling wanting to breed to him again.

This is a picture of one of Highballs pups at 20 months. This was the 6th bear he'd treed by himself this training season. This was his last bear. RIP Rocco.

Hope you all have had a chance to get your Highball pups out for some action this fall. We had a very good chase season here in Va. Treed a lot of yearling bear but not many sows with this years cubs. Only a couple of decent bear. Most of those yearling bear had track shoes on and really gave the dogs a workout. If any of you guys want to talk about breeding to Highball give us a shout.

Guys,
Highball is getting some age on him and is starting to slow down some. He's got a lot of miles on him and has put up a ton of bear, a bunch of them by himself. If you have a good bear dog gyp your looking to breed, don't over look Highball. He has thrown some good pups by a lot of different gyps and it don't matter about the color.

I was wondering if you were considering breeding your gyp to Highball again? We were very pleased with the way Rocco and BC turned out. Rocco at 20 months was going to be our lead dog this year. BC has been doing it all from truck to tree in the last several months, just a tick slow on the long runs but will be at every tree.

$150.00. We ain't in it to make a bunch of money but we do want Highball blood spread to good bear dog gyps. Highball ain't going to last forever. We have collected him, but you never know when that next cross will produce the next Highball. I've bear hunted for almost 40 yrs. and I've hunted with a lot of real good hounds but never hunted with such a complete hound as Highball.

I have bred Highball back to a niece. This will be a first cross, so don't know how it will work out. She is 3 yrs. old and is doing very well. Bred her Nov. 20th. so don't know if she took or not. Also have a friend with a Stylish/Clover gyp that will be bred when she comes back in. This will be a 2nd time cross, very pleased with those young hounds from 1st cross. May be a pup availible from one of these two gyps.
