Treed four singles on four tracks and one split tree. Sounder was 835 yards in and Magic was 375 both had the meat.
Lots of walking tonight.
Magic decided he wasn't ready to come in so he went 900 yard back the other direction. Daddy was not happy about that. He starting to act like just get me off the tree somewhere. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of that.
Now I need to get to bed 6 am comes early for work.

He won is Nite champion cast Friday night in Paris Mo but not enough for the win.
I should have went back Saturday so I missed out on possibly making him King of hunt.
Oh well there will be more hunts for sure.
Both dogs are looking good and still waiting on their first female to breed. I'm not sure if my Sister female will ever come in. Who knows.

Chris Baker and I went for a dump late. He had a little walker female I took Sounder. They struck a rough feed track and worked it for about a mile. They tapped a few trees but went on drifting the track. They ended up treed on a creek bank but Mr Coon was not there. That was dissapointing after they worked so hard to pick the right tree. Oh well that is the way it goes sometimes. It was still good to see them work so hard in trying to find the right tree before they called us in to get them. Sounder doesn't miss very often so it is what is is. They are just dogs.

I'm out winding all the time and my dogs are mad at me for not taking them. I know that can't finish in the backyard.

If they were as trashy as me I'd have to keep a shock collar on them all the time I hope I get this out of my system soon and start hunting. I will be at the Grand National Reunion fat dogs and all.

Hell he looked like I have been hunting him every night. Two track two trees two coons. He did it is style. I really like this dog. Good mouth , good locate and stay putt treedog with the meat.

I took Sounder and Charlie just took a young female off Crook and Jr hunted a Walker male.

We made three trees one was a legit den the other two where big leafy black oak trees but I couldn't find a coon. May have been there but they are hard to find if they aren't there.
Oh well.
One the way home we saw two cross the road and turned the Crook female on to them. She track them silent but nothing yet. This was her first time in the woods and I like what I saw in her. One coon and she will explode I think. So we shall see. This is the first night with Sounder that I didn't see a coon in the outside.
Life goes on.

Magic got beat by a nice Walker dog. It happens. Both dogs got split. Walker had the coon I had a circle tree. Next my dog located a hole Charlie Wyatts dog was treed down the bluff a ways the walker treed in a hole and left and went deep and had the meat. Judge said he saw the coon once in Charlies tree but we couldn't see well enough to get it to look and Magic came in to the tree. I was even with the board still no minus but I walked my last bluff of the night. My butt was dragging so the Walker had 25 minutes to hunt but didn't get another coon treed. He had 300+ but 650+ won night champion on the other cast.
