Does your friend Wesley Rasco still hunt? I really liked the young dog he raised out of Bruiser and Richard Boyd's Junior blooded female. Sure thought he had a great shot at winning the Super Stakes if it weren't for drawing Clover's Stylish Oz and old Oz getting split from Wesley's dog and finding Oz's coon and Wesley's dog drawing a circle. That was a tough semi-final cast to be in and it went down to the wire.

Here are the individual pics. I made the mistake and took these pics right after they finished eating a big pan of puppy food, so they weren't very photogenic. Anyway, here they are.

This is the only female in the litter and is headed to Joe Thompson's house in Indiana.





The rest are the males. I am going to pick one of the blue males pictured below. I haven't decided on which one, but am leaning toward the first pup pictured. Marty Markvee has the first pic of the males for sale and has told me he wants whichever blue male I do not pick. After that, the pics are up in the air but I am going to get with the buyers and get them to take their pick this week and will update as the picks are finalized.

This litter will be the most cash I have put out for a litter in history. The last litter I raised here was fifteen years ago. This particular litter had a few expenses not associated with the average litter. Here is a break down of expenses.

It takes a lot of money to raise a good quality litter and I realize I have extra expenses by going the frozen semen route and the costs associated with that. Would I do it again... In a heartbeat! I have never raised a litter wondering what kind of monetary value I was going to get out of the pups. I've always bred because I had a plan for one of the pups from the cross. This cross isn't any different.

Many might wonder why I have listed a price for the Bruiser semen. Well, I had to buy it just like everyone else. I went through a divorce in '08 and the Bruiser semen was one of the "assets" my ex-wife asked for in the divorce. She owns the Bruiser semen and gets $750 per breeding, but because my kids are enjoying the sport with me, I was able to get a discount for $500. My lawyer who represented me said he had never heard of dog semen being a condition of a divorce decree in thirty-five years of handling these type of cases. Oh well... first time for everything.

Here's the pup I decided to keep. Looking more like his daddy everyday. I took him out to the woods yesterday and had to find him as he had wandered off about sixty yards in some heavy brush. Pups turned eleven weeks old today.
