SportDOG TEK 1.0 Locator Trainer System

can someone give me some info on this? i see its alittle cheaper than the garmins. i currently have the garmin but was wondering about getting something different. whats the differences between the two. give me the good and bads. Thanks

I have one. They are plain Jane just shows the how far the dogs are, and shows which dog is what with different color triangles. It has no map cards no extras. You have 3 buttons on the side to control the shocking system on your dogs. Finally the tracking works alright. If you live in a real hilly or mountain type terrain it'll lose communication every so often.

Me personally I bought it for the price too but it's alright for being cheaper 6/10. Now I'm trying to sell mine so I can upgrade to the garmin alpha.

Thanks for the reply I think I'll go with the alpha also. My buddy won a sport dog at a hunt and he likes it but all his country is flat with a few rolling hills.
