Seresto collar side effects

I put a seresto tick collar on my 4.5 month old walker 5 days ago and its worked fine so far except it seems he itches at it all the time when he isnt running around. His white fur around his collar also has a light red tint to it. Will he get over itching at it? Should i only have it on him half the day? Or should i just try another tick preventative method? Thanks for your time!

I put them on our dogs loose enough to slip over their heads. I slip them off for a day (or part of a day) if I notice any irritation

Ok thanks for the replies i dont think it drives him isane because when hes out of the kennel or house running around it doesnt seem to bother him just when hes laying in the house he just starts scratching a bunch, maybe ill loosen it up some and slip it off him for awhile often but right now i got it as tight as the directions said which is to the point only 2 fingers should be able to slip under comfortably so maybe its just too tight.
