After several weeks of planning I am proud to introduce The Memorial Showcase Classic.
The Classic will showcase 20 hounds accompanied with a pup from that hound. These hounds were selected and invited based on representation of their registry and accomplishments. This is an invitation only event.
The 20 invited hounds will be teamed with their pup to form a team. That team will compete in a 4 dog cast against an opposing team. The overall winner of the cast will be determined by a combined score of both the hound and its pup.
This will be a 1 hour cast event consisting of only 1 round. I plan on using non-hunting judges along with the UKC Hunting Beagle format (with some tweeks) more info to be forth coming.
The plan was to showcase some of the premier hounds in our sport along with their pups to allow others to possibly spectate hounds that they may never see run. Although we need structure (thus a formatted competition) I assure you this Classic will not be for bragging rights.

As you can see this is an outstanding group of hounds and a very lucrative opportunity for many to enjoy hounds they may never have a chance to see otherwise.

What an impressive and elite list of hounds! It's good to see dogs with accomplished resumes outside of UKC events included. Very nice.

A couple of nice females on the list also. Keen's Shania? The dam of two World Champions coming from the same litter. Wonder which one will be her running mate? Butkus, Chubby, Black Eagle and on and on and on....? How do you even start to decide which one to go out with?
