Tick Prevention on 5 week old pups?

I have a litter of pups I have been getting a few ticks off of. They are only 5 weeks old.
Is there anything safe to put on them this young?
Thanks for any info,

canopy

Is there a bunch of trees around where the pups are, if so I would move them from that spot. If not, I would get some permethrin 10 and after you take the pups away, spray the area, ground, real good with a hand sprayer around where pups are kept out to a 30 foot or so cicle around the area. Give the permethrin a chance to dry for a few hours or so and put pups back in. This should kill the ticks in the area providing you have no trees around where the pups are. If trees are close, just move them to another area! Good luck with it! Permethrin 10 can be gotten a TSC. Follow directions as described for spraying a perimeter around the kennel!

You Might Try In Addition to the Above info

Using AVON Skin So Soft Original Scent Bath Oil.
2 or 3 caps full to a Qt. size spray bottle. I Spray them (Dogs also)
SOS is very gentle and will help with feas & Knats & Maybe Ticks. I sometimes just put some in the palm of my hand and wipe down each pup with just the Oil. also the mom down her back & around her face (Not her breasts). Spray ALL you dogs for Knats & Fleas. And Smell good also. Makes their coat shine. Brush their coat if you want. We have 5 week old pups also.

Move them and clean out their box. Momma is probably bringing them in. Id give her a bath with Dawn dish det. Like the first guy said, spray their area.
