multiple hounds available, Roanoke, VA
Angels of Assisi dog rescue in Roanoke has quite a few hounds and hound mixes available for "adoption." They say they are willing to place them in hunting homes, so if you know a kid looking for a longshot prospect, or an old man looking for a best friend with some hunting potential, or are just curious, send them to this website to take a look:

The adoption process is cumbersome, but these dogs look like full hounds. The rescue organization will ask you about the conditions in which the hounds will be kept, and they prefer indoor homes. The dogs won't have papers and some may be mixes of multiple hound breeds. I am not local, so I haven't met these dogs or heard their voices. They will be spayed or neutered, and are vet checked for health. Each is returnable if it doesn't work out.
