No, Piggy only had 5 pups and two were lost shortly after birth. She has three left, two males and a female and we had a very long list for quite awhile now. Piggy is an older female but she seems to be a good mother and the three that are left are doing well so far.

It's a shame she couldn't have had 20... I bet they could have all been placed in the right hands. These 3 will have the best chances though, and I bet you have your pick of the top trainers too.

Piggy and the three pups seem to be doing fine so far. She seems to be a good mother. I dont think she was making enough milk the first few days and that may be why two didn't make it. They are dark good looking pups....just wish there were a whole lot more of them...lol
Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb is on deck and will be moving into her heated whelping box tomorrow and is due to give birth next weekend with Bree due about ten days after that. Man this has been a long, busy and hectic winter trying to raise four overlapping litters. Not sure this is a job for a single man who works too many hours in a factory as it is....lol

Every litter I raise is super staked and performanced because I only place pups with competition hunters.

Got a nice surprise tonight when I came home from work...
GR.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb had 8 little firecrackers out out Dual Grand Ch. Ragged Ridge Ripsaw 6 females, two males
This is the third overlapping litter of pups born here this winter and Cherry's mother Breanna is on deck next and is due in about 2 weeks with Aftershock puppies

Just spoke to Mr. Shabel and he says Amber will be bred back to Aftershock. That should give something for the repeat cross fan club to watch over the next few years.

Boy I didn't like the cross the first time shable made it still think he should breed her to somthing else amber was a super nice dog when we had her and she hasn't been breed to enough good males yet to be going back and making the same cross again....but when u got the money I guess you get to make the call lol

The first cross between those two dogs produced two that I know of from the litter that are coon tree'rs....one has titled and done some winning. A second one that I owned for awhile is a decent coon dog...but not overly impressive. He is a quick strike dog and a nice tree dog but just has an average mouth...which is unusual because every other pup out of shock that i have seen had an excellent mouth and lots of volume. Amber belongs to Mr. Shabel and we dont always think along the same lines. As everyone probably knows...I am absolutely against making repeat crosses. I feel like the evidence is overwhelmingly against the success of a repeat cross ever equalling that of the first cross. I have studied over a hundred cases of repeat crosses and have only found two times that it may have come close with all the criteria being equal. But im not going to beat that dead horse again. I will watch how this cross turns out and see if it beats the odds. If the Shock and Amber cross had of produced a couple more really good dogs the first time...then I probably would have took Amber to Shock's littermate Big D or to one of his sons like "T"....but like I said...I think a little differently than some breeders.
I hope the cross does work and I have hunted both parents a lot...in fact I just bred one of my best females to Shock and she will soon be having pups.
Mr. Shabel also told me that Shocks sister Moonlight Deana is being bred to a son of Shock that I owned as a young dog. I called him Shockwave but Fred Moran renamed him before making him a Nt.ch. and i cannot think of the name right now. I also wish him the best of luck with that cross...it should be a humdinger

Two or three have died....but I have Cherry Bomb and Breeze, Mark Marshall has a nice female named Grace, Wayne Campbell has one that he has been raising pups out of. I think there are a couple more (Dutch Harvey had one) but not sure who they wound up with. Two really nice ones got killed but were doing great....they belonged to Scott Grove and Alton Key. Seems like the good ones are always the ones that never live long enough...

Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Breanna is about as big with Aftershock as I have ever seen her with previous litters. She has had as many as 11 pups before but has trouble raising them all. She is due late next week but I cannot see her waiting till then. I am going to keep close watch on her between now and then and try to be there to help her and make sure they all get fed. She seems to be making plenty of milk but after 4 litters some of her teets are too big for new borns to get their mouth around. Hopefully everyone can get a turn and maybe after the first few days I can supplement with bottle feeding. This is a special litter and I want to save every one I can.

Legendary Lace (littermate to Cherry)

Shane,

my littermate was being hunted by a walker friend of mine who is well known in the area and hunts more competition hunts in this area as anyone. Unfortunately she was killed on road. This female had a great mouth, great track dog, but lacked in tree power. That's why I sent her to him to see if he could bring more tree out of her. Never got too far as she was gone after 4-5 times in timber with him.
Appreciate the fact that you gave me the pup at no charge that was both performance and super stake. It costs money to do this and I feel if you are getting a pup like this you owe a couple years time to give a fair chance.

Bree gave birth to 9 pups out of Dual Gr.Ch. Moonlight Aftershock.
One male died and she just finished having them when I had to leave for work so I have been worried all night. Hope there are no problems and they are all still alive when my shift ends....
