The Free Beacon is reporting that Joe Biden played a decisive role in enabling recently assassinated Iranian General Soleimani to push the US out of Iraq and “deliver the country into the hands of Iran.” Was this another blunder by Biden in foreign policy decisions or was this a move pushed by a pro-Iran Valerie Jarrett?
Iraq was facing pivotal elections in 2010 that would decide the country’s direction.
General Soleimani went to great lengths to ensure Iranian-backed politicians won control of the government, according to a comprehensive 2013 New Yorker profile of the terror leader by Dexter Filkins.
The New Yorker’s Filkins reported in 2013 that Joe Biden called Iraqi politician Ayad Allawi to demand he stop trying to form a government. According to sources, this crucial call paved the way for Soleimani to orchestrate an Iranian takeover of the Iraqi political system.
This is another failure of the Obama/Biden administration who enabled this terrorist. The paragraph below is from the 2013 New Yorker piece and solidifies the fact that President Trump did the right thing in being the one who finally took this thug out:
Suleimani took command of the Quds Force fifteen years ago, and in that time he has sought to reshape the Middle East in Iran’s favor, working as a power broker and as a military force: assassinating rivals, arming allies, and, for most of a decade, directing a network of militant groups that killed hundreds of Americans in Iraq. The U.S. Department of the Treasury has sanctioned Suleimani for his role in supporting the Assad regime, and for abetting terrorism. And yet he has remained mostly invisible to the outside world, even as he runs agents and directs operations. “Suleimani is the single most powerful operative in the Middle East today,” John Maguire, a former C.I.A. officer in Iraq, told me, “and no one’s ever heard of him.”
