My point is this: Historically the coon season in Oklahoma has been December and January, and in January, you don't usually tree a lot of outside coon, depending on the weather and the rut. Once those sows are bred, we are destroying our sport when we knowingly kill them; when in sixty days they will be having their litters. Have you noticed that in the earyl spring 'til the litters hit the ground that it is tougher to start a coon? Lots of nights, and I hunt lots of nights, half the dumps you make, don't start a coon track? Oh yeah, in season, just because I tree a coon, doesn't mean I kill it.Tom
