Here is way some wanting new rule to be.
Dog A struck for 100 Dog B struck 75. Dog B treed for 125 Dog A covers dead tree with coon.

Score
Dog A 175-
Dog B 200+

So 375 point difference on one tree seem to extremely favor certain kind dog and hunter.

Least score differance
Dog A struck 50 Dog B struck 25. Dog B treed for 125 dog A covers on dead tree gets 25-.

Score
Dog A 75-
Dog B 150 +

So score differance 225 point full coon.

I think all dogs cover late should get 25- on all trees circle slick coon after all that's what people want dog minus for covering late so why wouldnt you minus circle tree to but keep it to 25-.

Leash Locked

Allen, I think if you do away with this rule, then you should not have the option to hold on to your hound, you should have to recast as soon as the tree is scored. And since all these young guy's are telling us how we need to train are hound's not to back another hound, then you can also word it where they should cut loose at the Tree, and minus them if they go back to the same Tree!
