Wormer

What’s the best worker for tape worms. My boys beagles have tape worms and the vet gave him some pills but it’s almost impossible to get them down their throat

It is very easy to give a dog a pill when you know how to do it...but when you don't know it can be a struggle and that erodes trust...

I rather just wrap a small amount of hamburger meat around the pill and the dogs will wolf it down...and they will be begging for more...

Always wet the pill right before you put at the back of there throat, it wont stick that way and cup your hand with a small amount of water(drops) and add where pill is at, they will swallow every time. Big or small

Oh my goodness, I bet that a little beagle would be hard the first couple of times. But the more you give them, the easier it gets. They learn fast to just swallow the pill when you put it in.

I just sink the pill in a small amount of peanut butter and the dogs gobble them up. I sometimes, at first, give them a little pn butter to get them to want more. Piece of cake. .

The more ya give'em the easier it gets? If you believe that I've got a challenge for you. I've got an 8 yr old 1/2 dachshund 1/2 beagle that can identify a pill, the panacur bottle and the ivermectin bottle. You have to get hold of her before she sees them or she'll hide half the day and when you do get her you need a pry bar to get her mouth open. She's wise to every trick and is absolutely the hardest dog to give anything to orally this old boy has EVER seen.

Gotta hand it to Richard, you're full of it. If you need a definition of "full of it" just ask Dave or Tar. I'm sure they will explain it to you.

Oh my goodness Mr River, are you saying that Tarbaby and Mr Dave are "full of it"? And just exactly what is "it"? Is "it" timely knowledge? Tarbaby, is that what Mr River is talking about?

If it was knowledge you wouldn't ask so many questions. lol
Tar will be home shortly. Maybe he can straighten you out. Don't know where Dave is. He's slowed down on his posting. Surely he's not riding his ponies in this weather.
