Permanent Registration Question

Hello,

I recently purchased an American Pit Bull Terrier. The gentleman that I purchased him from, had to sell due to the breed not being allowed in his new apartment complex. He turned over to me the application for permanent registration. He had purchased the dog in December of 2013. The papers were signed over to him from the original dog's owner. I am guessing he was a breeder. The application was never submitted. How do I get the application to reflect me as the Sole Signatory. It has the person that I purchased the dog from designated as Sole Signatory. The original owner signed over his rights to the guy I purchased the dog from. Thanks in advance.

You would have to fill out one of our Affidavits, which can be downloaded from our website. You would fill the Affidavit out yourself and send it in to us along with the Application for Permanent Registration. If your dog is over a year of age, the minimum registration fee would be $45.00 plus a $20.00 Affidavit fee.

I'm new to AKC pets. Can you explain a few things to me? I see there are different levels of AKC registration. It states about listing
Ancestors. Do you guys lookup that information and supply for registration purposes? Or would I need to track down the original owner? Thanks.

We are the UKC. If you are asking about our registrations, we either have the information in our system already, or if you are doing a single registration, then we normally require you to provide that information to us.
