Female for sale

X bred female DOB 8/8/23 walker on top, bluetick on bottom. I got this little female last September and I have just turned her loose on Saturdays during the day to run with a couple other young dogs all winter. They treed a house cat and spent a lot of time gone to the woods during that time. She has stood in the pen most of the summer and I have just started taking her out at night in the last few weeks. I have taken her 2 times alone recently. The first night I turned a caged coon out where she was able to watch it run out of sight then I turned her loose. She picked up the track and took it 210 yards before she lost it. The next night I took her, I turned a caged coon loose then went back and got her. She finally picked up the track and treed a little when she got to the tree. The coon was there and she kept standing up on her back feet smelling the air. I bought her to get started then sell her, so right now the price is $300 and as she progresses the price will increase. Located in Van Buren Mo Call or text 573-712-8173

It's been hot and dry conditions lately but now we have a cool front passing through just no rain still. I took her out last night and just sat down to let her hunt. After about 15-20 minutes she just fell treed near 125 yards, so I just walked in to her. When came within 30-40 yards she came to me and I should have caught her but I wanted to see her go back to the tree on her own. Instead she milled around the area with her nose in the air and when I tried to catch her she didn't cooperate. I just stood back and kept looking the tree over until finally from up on 1 of the highest limbs out near the end it looked at me. Now I decided to make her let me catch her. To be honest it was 1 of those times I'm glad I don't have a shock collar because I probably would have misused it. Finally I caught her and began working her on the tree. Then I recut her and by now the other dog I was hunting that cast the other direction came in to us. This time they left out together and after about 10 minutes she began treeing first. It was about 400 yards so I drove my side by side in to them. This tree was so big and leafy I couldn't even begin to find it. But this time she let me catch her and we loaded up to call it a night.

So I had a couple young boys interested in this little hound and so I had been holding her for them. It's seems though they can't juggle school, sports and coon hunting so I am putting her back up here to put her in the hands of a hunter. She has a lot of natural ability and is very good natured. She has a decent mouth and hunts out ok. I have noticed that hunting her with other dogs doesn't seem to affect how she hunts good or bad. She does have a bit of puppy in her so she will play if you hunt her with another young dog that wants to play. Call or text 573-712-8173

So I took her out tonight with the old hound thinking I might tree 1 ahead of the cold front that's in the forecast for tomorrow. The 2 dogs took off good but both circled back to me, which is unusual for the old hound. I sent them on again and they went there own way this time after they were about 350-400 yards. The old dog went about 950 more yards and treed. The female, Lucy, came back to me. We drove around with in 250 yards of him and waited to see if she would go back him. She never did so we walked on in to him. She followed us in but never said a word the whole time even when shining the tree. We couldn't find anything so we led the old dog out and she just followed along. Where we had parked, there is a watering hole so we let the old hound get a drink and while he was lapping up water Lucy left out with her nose to the ground. I watched her on the gps and when she was about 250 yards I turned my old hound loose. He left the same way she did and soon they were both telling us about it. She has a better mouth than him so I could hear her start treeing first but she wasn't staying put real good. We drove around closer and walked in, but when we were about 50 yards away I could see her about 30 feet from the tree looking at us. Once I started talking to her she came to us and we snapped a lead on her. We tied her near the tree and made a lot of excitement when we found the coon, which got her to barking more. Then we shot the coon out dead, and gave it to her. She hadn't ever had 1 before so she didn't know what to think but soon began chewing on it. She will need some tree work right now.
